First Jewelry store where my wife and I felt a warm welcome when we walked in the door. Several staff members greeted us (even while working with others). We had been to a few other places and were not even acknowledged. Dems was able to handle a complicated stone re-set, ... quoted us on another ring repair, cleaned several pieces and helped my wife pick out another ring as an anniversary gift. Over the past couple of months I have been privileged to work with Suzy at Dems on a meaningful project that affected our entire family after the death of the matriarch of our family! She left behind an akoya pearl necklace of the finest quality, a bracelet, and earrings totaling ... 103 amazing perfect pearls which had actually been purchased at Dems years before. These pearls were to be divided among her 4 granddaughters and made into whatever pieces were decided upon. I can truly say that my sister-in- law and I knew they had to be very special, and thankfully we had come to the right place and Suzy had wonderful and amazing ideas that their jewelers were able to create with care, love, and perfection! Bracelets and earrings were decided upon and finished leaving some extra pearls which Suzy suggested we use to make add-a-pearl necklaces for the 3 grandsons to give to their spouses someday that were strung on gorgeous 14k gold necklaces. They were beautiful! At a recent family beach trip with all 25 of us there, these exquisite and meaningful gifts were presented to the granddaughters and grandsons. Dems has been in my family for all my life. My parent's have been Dems customers as long as I can remember, and when my husband went to pick out my engagement ring, he knew to go to Dems. This review is LONG overdue but Dem’s Jeweler’s is hands down one of Columbia’s TOP jewelry stores and an AMAZING business !!! Customer service is second to none and I love that the same folks have been there a long time and recognize you when you walk in. Store is ... immaculate and beautifully appointed. Went here to inquire about getting my glasses fixed (minor welding job). Was quoted an extremely reasonable price and time frame for completion of the repair. Our son is a Junior in college & Junior year means it’s college ring time! He attends the same university his dad attended & is a member of the same fraternity as his dad.
